Tulip Tree Wellness LLC needed a video conferencing platform that could host multiple therapists with separate waiting rooms while maintaining strict session privacy. Additionally, they wanted transcription functionality without relying on external APIs like Google’s, as well as interactive features such as a whiteboard. Managing access securely with multiple usernames and passwords, along with clear documentation for ongoing platform maintenance, were critical requirements.
To address these complex needs, we executed a comprehensive plan that focused on secure installation and deep customization of the Jitsi Meet environment:
Installed and configured a dedicated Jitsi Meet server on the cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
Developed customized multi-user authentication to enable four distinct usernames and passwords, creating isolated waiting rooms for individual therapists.
Implemented a lobby (waiting room) feature for all participants to enhance session security and control participant flow.
Integrated an open-source, locally hosted transcription service that avoids dependence on Google APIs, preserving client data privacy.
Added a whiteboard function to facilitate interactive and collaborative therapy sessions in real-time.
Enabled static URL link generation for each therapist waiting room, simplifying access for clients.
Delivered comprehensive handover documentation detailing installed software locations, directory backup procedures, and instructions for server setting updates to empower Tulip Tree Wellness’s IT team for future maintenance.
Provided continued support services to assist with platform updates and troubleshooting post-deployment.
