Scaling Reliable Jibri Recording and Secure Azure Storage for Truventor AI and Robotics Pty Ltd
As virtual meetings surged in importance, Truventor AI and Robotics Pty Ltd identified the need to scale their Jibri recording service to efficiently handle multiple concurrent sessions and improve storage reliability. Leveraging Azure cloud solutions, we tailored a resilient autoscaling framework and streamlined recording storage with rich metadata support to elevate their Jitsi infrastructure.
Truventor AI and Robotics faced limitations with their existing manual Jibri setup, where recording capacity was capped at seven concurrent meetings. They required a solution that could remove these constraints, ensure secure and organized storage of recordings on cloud infrastructure, and provide clear operational guidance to their teams once deployment was complete.
To overcome these challenges, we designed and implemented a comprehensive autoscaling service for Jibri recording servers, coupled with a secure integration to Azure File Storage and Azure Blob Storage for recordings. Key focus areas included metadata tagging for ease of retrieval and user access management, as well as delivering a detailed video guide for ongoing server management.
The autoscaling solution removed previous recording capacity constraints, empowering Truventor AI and Robotics to effortlessly record unlimited simultaneous meetings. Secure and organized storage on Azure streamlined recording management with rich metadata, enhancing retrieval and compliance. The detailed operational guide enabled Truventor’s team to confidently maintain and optimize their new Jibri infrastructure, ensuring long-term sustainability and scalability.
